Advanced Technology

Our leading technology allows us to better serve you with accurate and fast diagnosis and treatment of your foot or ankle pain. Whether your condition is common or uncommon, we have the technology to help you feel better fast.

tec

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Many people are familiar with this technology as it is used in an OB/GYN office every day. At Advanas, we use a diagnostic ultrasound to help diagnose soft tissue conditions such as Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and tendon tears. We also use it to help guide cortisone injections accurately. This technology is a wonderful diagnostic tool, but it is also a fraction of the cost of an MRI!

x-rays

Digital X-Rays

Over the past ten years, digital radiology has greatly influenced podiatry for the better. Digital x-rays allow our podiatrist to take an accurate look at your foot and differentiate between all kinds of different foot conditions. Our podiatrist will be able to tell the difference between stress fractures and other abnormalities in your foot, thus meaning that he or she will be better able to diagnose your condition and treat it effectively. Because the technology is digital, our podiatrist will be able to immediately view the results right there in our podiatry office.

epat

Extracorporeal Pulse Activation Technology (EPAT)

EPAT therapy is used mainly for soft tissue conditions such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. This treatment is often used if other treatments haven’t worked, but it is a non-invasive procedure that usually only takes about 10 minutes.

You won’t need anesthesia and can go about your day normally after your treatment with no down time. If you have plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendinitis and previous treatments haven’t worked for you, then EPAT therapy might be just what you need. In our experience, this treatment is effective about 85% of the time.
